In an article published on April 21 titled “Contestants shine through Miss Black and Old Gold Scholarship Pageant,” the story should have read that contestant number seven, Tyra Smith, placed as first runner-up and that contestant number six, Cynthia Okeke, placed as second runner up.

The caption on the photo accompanying the story should have read students performed in the Miss Black and Old Gold Scholarship pageant hosted by members of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. The pageant was hosted at 7 p.m. April 20, 2019, in the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

The DT regrets this error.

Being a fan of Tyra Smith I don't even believe that he only got few points and stood number six in the horse race which took place in the Honolulu last Sunday. Well for full story about Tyra Smith More information here now. Tyra Smith said in an interview that he did not prepare for this race.
