After finishing out the regular season with a singles win, Texas Tech women’s tennis senior Felicity Maltby earned Co-Big 12 Player of the Week.
Maltby ended the season 8-1 in Big 12 play and led the Lady Raiders to a 2-0 singles performance against Oklahoma State, according to a Tech Athletics news release. On Friday, April 12, the senior took down No. 22 Oleksandra Korashvii in the 5-2 win over Oklahoma.
On Sunday, April 14, Maltby defeated No. 23 Katarina Stresnakova which boosted her 22 spots, finishing the season in the No. 18 spot, which is the highest she has been in her career according to the release.
Tech will head to Lawrence, Kansas, to play in the Big 12 Championship as the 4-seed on Friday, April 19.
