This year’s Texas Tech Family Weekend will begin Sept. 29.

Activities get underway with Family Weekend Central, which will run noon to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Mackenzie-Merket Alumni Center, according to the Parent and Family Relations website.

Participants can pick up Family Weekend schedules, parking maps, T-shirts and other items. Free ice cream will be served from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. or while supplies last.

A come-and-go catered Family Fun Night Dinner will run 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 29 in the United Supermarkets Arena City Bank Conference Center, according to the website. Cost is $25 per ticket. A Housing Fair will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 29 at the USA. For more details, contact the Texas Tech Parents Association at parents@texastechparents.org.

Rounding out the day’s events is a Family Fun Night scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the USA, according to the Parent and Family Relations website. Family Weekend Central will reopen from 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 30 in the Mackenzie-Merket Alumni Center. Drop by to pick up weekend schedules, parking maps, T-shirts and other items.

A Family Weekend Breakfast will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sept. 30 at the Mackenzie-Merket Alumni Center.
