Sixteen students arrested at Jones AT&T Stadium for public intoxication

Aug. 26


An officer investigated harassment at 11:13 a.m. in the Goddard building in which the victim reported receiving several phone calls.

Two officers investigated an accident at 1:30 p.m. in the R-1 parking lot. The accident involved a Tech vehicle, and no injuries were reported.

Three non-students were arrested at 2:55 p.m. in the 2500 block of Broadway Avenue for possession of marijuana.

An officer investigated a theft at 3:49 p.m. in the Tech Health Sciences Center in which a Dell laptop was reported stolen.
An officer documented information on a student that went camping and has been reported missing.

Two students were detained at 8:06 p.m. in the 1400 block of Flint and one student was issued a Lubbock County citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both students were then released.

A student was issued a citation at 10:24 p.m. in Murdough Residence Hall for possession of drug paraphernalia and was released pending the filing of charges for possession of marijuana.

Aug. 27


A male had a seizure at 9:16 a.m. in the Health Sciences Center and was transported to the University Medical Center emergency room.

An officer investigated a hit-and-run accident at 10:25 a.m. in the Flint parking garage in which a vehicle struck an unattended vehicle.

An officer investigated a verbal assault against a traffic control attendant at 11:46 a.m. in the C-1 north parking lot.

An officer investigated a hit-and-run accident at 5:36 p.m. in the C-11 parking lot in which an unoccupied vehicle was involved.

Aug. 28


An officer investigated the burglary of a vehicle at 9 a.m. in the R-1 parking lot in which a Tech parking "hang tag" was reported stolen.

An officer investigated a hit-and-run accident at 2:33 p.m. in the Z5-B parking lot in which a vehicle struck an unattended vehicle.

A non-student was arrested at 4:26 p.m. in the 1400 block of Flint Avenue for three outstanding city of Lubbock warrants and a citation for driving with an invalid license.

An officer investigated a report of harassment at 4:35 p.m. at the Charles E. Maedgen Jr. Theatre in which a staff member received several obscene text messages.

A student was experiencing an asthma attack at 4:43 p.m. at the Football Training Facility and was transported to the UMC emergency room for treatment.

An officer documented information an unlocked rooftop door at 7:42 p.m. in Coleman Residence Hall. Three students were located on the rooftop of the residence hall.

Two officers investigated criminal mischief at 10:18 p.m. in Gates Residence Hall in which a person or persons broke the window to a student's room from the outside.

Two officers documented information about a male student making unwanted advances to a female student.

Aug. 29


A student was cited at 1:25 a.m. in the 3300 block of Main Street for possession of drug paraphernalia. The student was released pending the filing of charges for
possession of marijuana.

A student was detained at 2:55 a.m. in the Sneed Residence Hall main lobby for public intoxication and was released to a responsible party.

A non-student was arrested at 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of Red Raider Avenue and Drive of Champions for two outstanding Lubbock County Sheriff Department warrants.

An officer investigated a hit-and-run accident at 8:10 a.m. in the 600 block of Akron Avenue in which a vehicle struck a fixture or highway landscaping.

An officer investigated a theft at 9:10 a.m. at the University Greenhouse and Horticultural Garden in which the wheels were removed from a secured bicycle.

Three non-students were detained at 4:18 p.m. in Murdough Residence Hall. The non-students were issued criminal trespass warnings from all university property and one of the non-students was arrested for possession of marijuana.

An officer investigated a traffic accident at 5:38 p.m. in the C-1 parking lot.
A student was arrested at 6:45 p.m. in the 2700 block of 18th Street for two outstanding Lubbock Police Department warrants and an instantered Lubbock County Citation.

Aug. 30


A student was arrested for public intoxication at 4:22 a.m. in the Z-1B parking lot.

Two non-students were detained and cited at 2:28 p.m. for possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle. The non-students were released.

Sixteen students were arrested before, during and after the Tech vs. Eastern Washington University football game at Jones AT&T Stadium for public intoxication. All 16 students were transported to the Lubbock County jail.

Three non-students were arrested before, during and after the football game for public intoxication at the stadium.

Two non-students were detained at 6:37 p.m. in the 1800 block of Flint Avenue. One of the students was arrested for driving while intoxicated and the other was arrested for public intoxication.

A student was arrested for public intoxication at 8 p.m. in the 3200 block of 18th Street and was transported to the Lubbock County jail.

Four students were detained at 8:11 p.m. in the 3300 block of Main Street. Two students were issued Lubbock County citations for possession of alcohol by a minor, one of the students was issued a Lubbock County citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor and the final student was issued a citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor and was released.

An officer investigated a reported assault at 9 p.m. on the south side of the Athletic Training Center in which a non-student punched and kicked another non-student.

A student was arrested at 9 p.m. in the Z-6B parking lot for public intoxication.

Aug. 31


A non-student was arrested at 1:23 a.m. in the Z-5C parking lot for public intoxication.

Two officers documented information about a possible sexual assault at 2:21 a.m. that occurred off-campus. The report is being investigated by the Lubbock Police Department.

An officer investigated a hit-and-run accident at 2:46 p.m. in the Z-6A parking lot that involved an unoccupied vehicle.
An officer who was investigating a previous call of suspicious activity detained four non-students at 3:04 p.m. in the R-25 parking lot. The non-students were issued criminal trespass warnings.

A student was arrested for violating a criminal trespass warning. The student was initially issued a warning on Aug. 29.

Sept. 1


A non-student was issued a criminal trespass warning at 8:32 a.m. for all Tech property.
