Lubbock celebrated its second annual Severe Weather Awareness Day Saturday at the Science Spectrum to raise awareness about the risks of severe weather. Groups including the National Weather Service, Tech's student chapter of the American Meteorological Society, Tech's Wind Science and Engineering Research Center and the Tech Police Department distributed information about the dangers of severe weather as well as what individuals and families can do to reduce those risks.
