The Escondido Theatre on Tuesday night was taken back to 1963 during a celebration of the works of Martin Luther King Jr. Since September, Student Diversity Relations, University Housing Services and the Multicultural Student Association have been working on a program that exhibited the works of King.

Great Irish 'Feets:' A few Tech students learn a little fancy footwork

Sweat on brow lines, hearts beating fast and feet moving faster, Irish set-dancing proved to be slightly more strenuous than many expected but well worth the workout. "Well, it's not 'difficult,' but it definitely takes some learning," said Christopher Smith, Texas Tech professor and an organizer of the Irish set-dancing class.

Poster sale for hope

Colorful posters on the walls and on tables were on sale Tuesday as the Association of Graphic Artists organized the event to benefit Lauren Bolden's fight against cancer. Dirk Fowler, assistant professor of communication design, is the adviser for AGA and supplied more than 100 posters.
