The Texas Tech Kappa Alpha Thetas will host the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) 5K Superhero Run/Walk from 8:30 - 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4 at the Tech Student Recreation Center Sport Fields located at 3219 Main Street. 

The event is hosted to support CASA of the South Plains, whose members volunteer as advocates to help children in foster care ensure their needs are met and to help find them a home, according to the news release. 

Check in for the event begins at 8 a.m. according to the release. The event will feature a photo booth, face painting, field games and a costume contest. Runners and walkers are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superheroes. 

Registration fees for the event cost $20 for students, $15 for children aged 3-12, free for children 2 and under and $25 for adults. The registration fee includes an event t-shirt.
