This is my last column. All yearlong I have tip-toed around issues that really tick me off to remain neutral and prevent those damned hate-mail letters. This time I'm letting it all out and if you have a problem write an e-mail so I can delete it.

• Luxury-car drivers: Just because your parents bought you a Lexus, it doesn't give you the right to drive like a jackass. You don't have the right of way in every situation, and you actually might have to yield to someone, or even a pedestrian or two. Perhaps if your parents had spent more time and money on your driving education and not your vehicle you would know that.

Since this is Texas I have to mention truck drivers. I am convinced any parent who sends their child to college in a Ford F-350 extended bed crew cab 4x4 truck, is not the brightest crayon in the box. We've all seen these jerks that take up two parking spots; not because their truck is that big, but because they can't handle their vehicle. To add insult to injury, these drivers bully anyone who is in a smaller car. It seems to me these people clearly are compensating for something, and unfortunately there is no surgery that can fix stupidity. The only students who should be driving those trucks are the ones that grew up on farms, and they know how to handle their vehicles.

• Men: I could state the obvious and tell you all to stop thinking with your genitals, but I know it is impossible. I will ask that you be considerate of us females. Guys, girls sleep with you because they want a relationship. If you don't want that, let her know from the beginning, and if she still sleeps with you, she is stupid.

Also, don't ask us to wear sexy clothes and then get mad when other guys look at us. You asked for that and you got more than you could handle. Sarcastic comments are not cute to us. You look like a jerk and eventually will make us cry.

Driving on University Avenue with your windows down and your music up does not make you look cool. You look like an idiot and who be hard of hearing later in life.

Grooming is important to us. So, please cut your toe nails, shower daily, and wash your clothes. Never wear pink, no matter what your girlfriend tells you!

• Women: Stop sleeping with men for attention. If you are trying to fill a void, they have toys for that.

Don't use crying as a tool of manipulation. Men find it cruel and unusual punishment. If you want to get back at him, steal his Xbox 360.

It's not cool to come to class dressed as a slut. Yes, guys are going to check you out because they are wired that way, I can guarantee you they are not thinking about taking you out for dinner and a movie.

Entrapment is illegal: don't ask a question when you don't want to know the answer.

Stop trying to change the "Bad Boy." Dating nice guys is better; you can easily over power their will.

It is important to have your make -up on before you leave the house; It is dangerous to put your make-up on while you're driving. And, just because you have an SUV doesn't mean you are good at driving it.

• White People: White people make up 90 percent of Texas Tech campus. For the love of God and all that is holy, please stop complaining minorities are taking up all the spots for admission. And, if you don't want to get beat up, never, ever, say that to a minority. It's really hard for us to feel sorry for little Whitey Ford who didn't get into Tech the first time around, when he drives a BMW and went to the University of North Texas instead.

And if you think that all the minorities are taking the good jobs, think again, there aren't enough of us with college degrees to be a real threat to you unless you are applying in San Antonio or Atlanta.

Additionally, please be more sensitive to other cultures. I am really sick and tired of hearing white people question black, hispanic and Asian history months. I can't speak for the other cultures, but as for blacks whose families have been here since before the Civil War it is important for us because it celebrates a people that survived under tremendous adversity.

Many of us have little or no ties to our African Ancestry and we have to celebrate our culture as it existed in America. Black people don't have the luxury like whites do of saying they are German, French or English. The best many of us can do is hypnotize that we are possibly East African. And, contrary to popular belief, Africa is a continent, with many different cultures, languages and people who do look different from each other. And just like white people think minorities all look alike, we think the same about you too.

• Black People: My brothers and sisters, can we please stop using nigger as a greeting? I realize the use of that word by blacks is supposedly meant as a positive thing, but we sound ignorant when it's used, especially when we are talking about our friends. Our music is infested with it and we have the nerve to act surprised and angry when some white or hispanic person tries to use it the same way we do. Let's cut the crap and all stop using it.

Also, not everything is racially motivated. Granted, we live in Lubbock; a place that still has laws in it's records that state black people are hazardous to white people's health, but it is possible some people aren't trying to hold us down (at least, not actively). Sometimes a look or a comment should be taken at face value. If you constantly look for racial discrimination, you will find it. I'm not saying racism doesn't happen here, believe me I know, but sometimes its better to rise above it instead of doing what you really want to do and hurt somebody.

• Religious Fanatics: It's cool that you love God, Jesus, Allah, Buddha, Yahweh or the Blue Chipmunk, but stop pushing your beliefs on others. It's not up to you to condemn people to hell, or ostracize them because they had an abortion, are homosexual or are a Democrat. Mind your own business and worry about your own belief system. I realize that most religious fanaticism is born out of good intentions, but so was the Ku Klux Klan and al-Qaida, and they consider themselves as true followers of their faiths and not terrorists (yes kids, the Klan considers themselves to be Christians).
