AUSTIN (AP) - Travis County's electronic voting system violates state law because it doesn't produce paper ballots, according to a lawsuit filed by an Austin civil rights group.

The lawsuit, which names Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams and Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir, seeks an injunction to block the county from using the system in upcoming elections. The Texas Civil Rights Project filed the lawsuit Wednesday in state District Court.
