Texas Tech senior golfer and 2006 PING First-Team All-American Oscar Floren was named to the watch list for the 2007 Ben Hogan Award.
The Hogan Award is given to the best collegiate golfer in the country. This year's award will be given out at the Hogan Award banquet on May 22 at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.
Floren will join 22 other players named on the watch list, including three others from the Big 12. Oklahoma State's Pablo Martin and Jonathan Moore and Kansas' Gary Woodland also were named.
Floren leads Tech with three top-10 tournament finishes this year and a team best 70.76 stroke average. He is currently representing his native country of Sweden in the 2006 World Amateur Team Championships in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
