Red Raiders and Lubbockites looking for some fun, sun and a chance to be the best this weekend have that chance in the 11th Annual Spring Fling hosted by the Texas Tech volleyball team.
The annual grass volleyball tournament serves as a fundraiser for the Raiders and has categories for every age group and multiple formats.
Sign-ups begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with play beginning at 9 a.m. in the field at 19th Street and University Avenue.
Teams can register in men's and women's doubles, co-ed 4-on-4, co-ed doubles, corporate 4-on-4, girls doubles in 18-under, girls 15-under and girls 12-under groups.
The co-ed doubles will play Sunday with sign ups on Saturday. Players can sign up for $20 and will receive a T-shirt, PowerAde and snacks.
Tech players and coaches will be at the event the entire day.
Musical entertainment will be provided by KLLL, KMMX, ROCK101 and 104.9 The Beat throughout the day.
